MEET HE.SHE.THEY

We caught up with the Little Gay Brother earlier this week about the future of clubbing and how VR is helping their brand become more accessible. They’re joined by the iconic collective He She They for their show called Love Is Not Cancelled, we caught up with them on what they’re got up their sleeve for their debut VR performance.

Looking forward - what do you think the future looks like for VR + events? Is this something you would like to see more often across the scene, given how accessible it is? Is this something you can see for future HST shows?

VR and streaming has provided a much needed outlet for people to feel part of a community in 2020 when isolation has been a sadly common feeling for people of all ages. In terms of the future, I guess the sky's the limit, based on how quickly technology is developing so I’m excited to see what new features can be added to these experiences. At HE.SHE.THEY.

We want to help provide clubbing experiences that break down to the barriers of the binary, but also tackle ageism and ableism in the clubbing space. Whilst everyone is always welcome at our shows, VR options can occupy a space and enhance shows who wish to help those who cannot attend in person experience the wildness of a HE.SHE.THEY. show, we’d like to expand on that :)

HE.SHE.THEY is an inherent part LGBTQIA+ community in London and a holds a strong presence in the club scene. How has the collective remained strong and connected to their audiences during time of club closure?

Thanks for the kind words! We have used our platform and our voices to engage with our audience on societal issues and vocally support the Black Lives Matter movement as well as supporting our friends over at Trans Pride and pushing our friends in America to exercise their rights to vote for change.

We have also occupied the streaming space in coming together with Beatport as their PRIDE stream partner back in June and as part of their stream highlighting collectives in early December.

We also had our own VR stage at Pablo Vittar’s IMVU platform stream hosting Nina Kraviz, Fecal Matter and Wax Wings. As well as this we have started our own label HE.SHE.THEY. Records which we have been super proud of the releases so far including Alanis Morissette, LOUISAHHH, Wax Wings, KRUDO, Spencer Parker & boiish. You can check out a playlist of our label releases to enjoy: HERE

What are your plans for 2021? We know you have your residency planned in Ibiza but is there anything else in the works in the New Year?

We are so excited to get back to one of our spiritual homes in Ibiza and have some shows there, we are working on some special ideas, stay tuned! There are so many new places we want to visit when we are able, South America + Australia are high on the list as well as visiting two of our other favourite cities again Amsterdam and Berlin.

We also can’t wait to get back to the USA to celebrate Trump’s departure! The label is looking super exciting for next year and we’ll be dropping the next collection in our genderless clothing line. Stay tuned on our Instagram for all the latest news.

We can’t wait for this one! Find out more and purchases your tickets from www.sansar.com
