SPOTLIGHT ON BRISTOL

The UK is home to genre defying cities across the country, and a melting pot of sounds that are distinctive to the tiny isle. We stop off at Bristol, in South West England home to some of the most forward thinking artists in the UK.

Bristol birthed Trip Hop back in the 90, with Portishead and Massive Attack some of the most notable names to come from the city. Bristol is arguably home to some of the most exciting Drum N Bass and Jungle from the UK, with Roni Size and Krust both hailing from the city.

In more recent years, the city has been at the helm some of the UK’s most exciting dance music, from bass, dance and techno, with Livity Sound, Timedance, Banofee Pies and Shall Not Fade all starting life in the city.

We’re delighted to welcome Krust to Lost Horizon, who will launch new album The Edge Of Everything with a show featuring James Lavelle, LCY, DJ Flight and Om Unit.

One of our favourites LCY, has been on an upwards trajectory since she started putting music out into the world and is releasing a brand new first official single this week called ‘Garden of E10’ on her own label SZNS7N. We’re super excited to see and hear this release, as it comes with an accompanying visual creatively directed by LCY.
