This Saturday we welcome The Martinez Brothers to Lost Horizon for a night of New York flavor and absolute dance floor bombs. We chatted to them ahead of their headline show.

It's been a strange year for all. Both of you are used to touring heavily in the summer and are veterans on the Ibiza circuit. What has this summer looked like for you?

We actually had a dope summer creatively in the end. It was a different pace for sure but we got to focus on making a lot of music. We spent some time in Miami and finished up our record “Química” with Rauw Alejandro which also featured the legendary Reggaeton artists Zion and Lennox. This was a different kind of release for us but we were happy to explore a different genre and bring our house music vibe to it.

You've been jumping on a few live streams over this time and have been releasing plenty of your music for yourfans to connect with you. What's been a highlight from the summer aways from shows?

Getting support & play listed on BBC Radio 1 with “Let It Go” our Collab with Louie Vega & Marc E Bassy was a real highlight for us. Working with Louie is always a true honor. This was our first time working with Marc and he nailed the song and vibe the first go.

You started DJing in the 2000's. Looking back, how does the experience of performing compare? Lost Horizon is a completely brand new VR experience for ravers and music fans alike. Did you think this sort of technology would become the norm in your career?

We’ve always just followed the music and that’s our core passion. Nothing there has changed since we began playing in the 2000’s. We still take a lot of time to prepare for our sets. We are constantly making special edits to play out so our sets stay fresh. We love playing long sets and the Space Terrace has been an amazing home for us to go deep into expressing our range in music that we love. It’s completely influenced us on creating of our 'Space Jam’s' Edits series.

We’ve been very selective about what streams we’ve done. Our sets are still very personal to us and we miss that direct connection with fans that you get when you play live. We loved the creative direction of Lost Horizon with the VR angle plus the tie in to Glastonbury was a no brainer for us.

We’re also happy to showcase some of our favorite DJ’s here too on the lineup with Jaden Thompson and Christian AB. The technology of today is beyond what we could ever have imagined even a few years ago. We now see this as being another way of connecting with our fans. Even when touring comes back we want to continue doing innovative streaming experiences like Lost Horizon.

Lost Horizon is the most interactive digital music event this year. What do you think the future of festivals and clubbing is?

We really hope to be back on the road again by the summer even though we may not be fully up to speed until further in the year. We think that clubbing will eventually be back bigger than ever again. We just have to be patient!!

We can't wait for the show this weekend. Are there any surprises in store?

If there is……it wouldn’t be a surprises now would it if we told you? Just Tune In!

VR, PC ticket and multi-cam stream tickets are $10, and a season pass is just $20. The show will also be streamed live across the internet - sign up for streaming links.
